Extensions to insurance cover for unoccupied premises has now come to an end for most policies and if premises remain unoccupied it is important to liaise with insurers.
During lockdown, most insurers reviewed their policies and extended the period in which the premises could be left unattended without penalty.
This period has now come to an end with most insurers.

Insurers would also expect there to be regular inspections of the property including the running of taps and flushing of toilets.
